THE first Friday in June is most special on the St Norbert College calendar. The celebration of the entry to eternal life for Saint Norbert is 6 June and it is traditional for the College to mark the occasion with a day of celebration.
In 2022 – the 888th anniversary of Norbert’s death – St Norbert Day began with a Mass involving the Norbertines, students and staff at the College, as well as parents. A morning tea for all students followed before the annual Staff v Student volleyball and soccer contests (after a penalty shoot out on the soccer pitch, the students won).
During the afternoon, all 900 students dispersed to various locations to enjoy activities such as iceskating, rollerskating, a tour of Optus Stadium, a visit to the Art Gallery and Perth Museum in Northbridge, or to play snooker, mini-golf or seeing the animals at Perth Zoo.
