This year, we launched our Robotics Club, giving students the opportunity to develop skills in robotics and programming through hands-on learning and teamwork.
Each week, students use LEGO SPIKE Prime kits to design and program autonomous robots that can navigate a maze, identify coloured targets, avoid hazards and return to the entry point. Their work is all leading towards the Mighty Maisy Maze challenge at the RoboCup Junior Australia WA State event hosted at Murdoch University.
Through the program, students are strengthening their teamwork, problem-solving and critical thinking skills. The program also encourages students to explore future pathways in areas such as engineering, automation, robotics, programming, technology and innovation.
The Robotics Club runs on Wednesday afternoons from 3:30pm to 4:30pm in the Learning Hub (Library) throughout Terms 2 and 3.
