Yesterday a select group of our students along with St Joseph Primary students were invited to share in a Liturgy of the Word to celebrate the Pilgrimage of Migrant Jubilee Cross at St Joachim’s Church, Ursula Frayne Catholic College.
The Migrant Cross encompasses the Southern Cross in its design and contains a relic of the Holy Family and a piece of the cedar wood coffin of St Mary MacKillop. Nicole V, Melvin S, Ethan S and Jarrah S contributed in processing the Migrant Cross and processing portraits of St Frances Xavier Cabirni and St John Baptist Scalabrini. These students also read for the Liturgy of the word to recognise and acknowledge the rich diversity of migrants and the contributions made by migrants to society.
