When students first begin their education at St Norbert College, they are introduced to the concept of Student Ministry. It is not usually something they are already aware of and since they will be very much involved in it for the next five years, we feel it necessary to orientate them.

Each Year 8 Religious Education class takes its turn in spending one period in the Student Ministry Centre with the Director of Student Ministry and the Director of Christian Service-Learning, who explain the various retreats and Christian Service-Learning projects that students will participate in across their five years here at the College.

Along with this they speak about why St Norbert College has a Student Ministry Centre and what it is trying to achieve in an overall sense and in a language that Year 8 students can grasp.Central to the introduction is the message that the Centre belongs to the students and that they are always welcome there.
