Annual Events (Spiritual)

College Community Mass

All members of the College community are invited to celebrate Mass together to begin the school year. This occurs on a Sunday evening in the school grounds as the sun is setting.

St Norbert Day

June 6 marks the celebration of St Norbert's entry into eternal life. On this day members of the College participate in a College Mass, House morning teas, a concert and staff versus students sports matches. This is followed by an afternoon of activities such as ice skating, horse riding and ten pin bowling.

Ash Wednesday and Easter Liturgies

Students participate in an Ash Wednesday Liturgy marking the Beginning of Lent. Students are invited to reflect on this period of preparation for Easter.  On Holy Thursday students participate in the Stations of the Cross to reflect on the meaning of Easter. House groups progress to stations around the school grounds where students role play, listen to readings and pray together.

Retreats

Retreats are an integral part of the Religious Education programme of the College. During Retreats students are given the opportunity to discuss and reflect on aspects of their spiritual and social development in an environment away from the distraction of everyday life. The mutual support of the students assists in the formation and consolidation of friendship groups.  Key retreats throughout the year include the annual QUEST Retreat for all year 8 students and the KAIROS retreats for year 12 students.

Reflection Days

Year 9  and 10 students are involved in a reflection day, led by the National Evangelisation Team. This gives students the opportunity to reflect upon the positive dimensions of themselves and each other through the use of drama, games and quiet time.

Thanksgiving Mass

The Thanksgiving Mass is held at the end of the year to reflect on the academic year that has just passed. During the Mass we thank God for the blessings of the past year.
