The college mission is: ![]() Phil Morellini “St Norbert College is a Christian community; a Catholic co-educational school influenced by the ethos of the Norbertine Order to foster the growth of our students as whole persons who will live in faith with the Church and humanity, in the image of Christ.” St Norbert College, as a community of faith, lives out its mission as a Catholic school in the Norbertine tradition. As an evangelising agent of the Church, the College promotes, develops and imbues all aspects of its life and activity with this mission. To support the College in its efforts to build a community of faith and engage in the evangelisation process, Student Ministry provides leadership in, and attention to, two important areas of the evangelisation process:
The above model of student ministry operates under the guidance and leadership of the Student Ministry Team. Working collaboratively with others, the task of the Student Ministry Team is to support and enable all areas of College life to engage meaningfully in the College’s mission. The principal members of the College Campus Ministry Team are:
Student Ministry creates opportunities for all St Norbert College students to become leaders in the College community through discovering within themselves and choosing to align themselves with love and goodness – the essence of their being. Through participating in a number of retreat and Christian service experiences, students discover the awesome power of God in their lives and are encouraged to develop and shine their love out to others – thus creating the Kingdom of God right here and now in their everyday lives. What are student ministers? Students from Years 9 - 12 apply each year to become Student Ministers. They act to deliver the projects offered through the Student Ministry to the overall student body. Every student can access any project in Student Ministry but not all can hold leadership positions. We expect student ministers to be young people who can act with generosity and courage. They provide leadership to the rest of the College by living the core values of the College and by demonstrating a willingness to witness to the power of Love/God in their lives.
